Associate Engineering Support Specialist

Job Summary
Conduct routine data collection, documentation, and basic technical tasks for engineering teams under direct supervision. Perform measurements, observations, and standard reporting while assisting with small-scale prototyping, sample builds, and CAD edits. Support continuous improvement initiatives by gathering baseline data, monitoring process deviations, and helping with ergonomic assessments or lean activities like 5S. Maintain lab equipment, prepare prototype builds, and assist with material requests, inventory updates, or kitting. Gather operational data to support workflow improvements and participate in training sessions related to safety or manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or technical degree in engineering, drafting, product design, operations, supply chain, or another related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting or design support, manufacturing, product development, or equivalent experience, if degreed
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in drafting or design support, manufacturing, product development, or equivalent experience, if non-degreed
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Novice experience in engineering software and tools
- Basic project management and organizational skills
- Adept analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Technical documentation and drafting (CAD/Visio/Excel)
- Clear communication across engineering and operations
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP/PLM systems and production data tools
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to navigate in a manufacturing environment, including navigating stairs
- Successful completion of pre-hire drug screen and post offer background screen
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality, or other improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of work measurement systems
- Knowledge of internal data systems
