Associate Engineering Support Specialist 1st Shift

Job Summary
Conduct routine data collection, documentation, and test assistance under direct supervision. Perform measurements, observations, and basic CAD edits for engineering teams. Support continuous improvement by collecting baseline data, monitoring process deviations, and assisting with 5S and waste identification. Maintain work instructions, tooling documentation, and lab equipment while helping prepare prototype builds. Gather operational data for workflow analysis and participate in training sessions related to lean manufacturing. Provide administrative support including note-taking for meetings, scheduling, and inventory updates.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or technical degree in engineering, drafting, product design, operations, supply chain, or another related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting or design support, manufacturing, product development, or equivalent experience, if degreed
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in drafting or design support, manufacturing, product development, or equivalent experience, if non-degreed
- Basic PC skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Novice experience in engineering software and tools
- Basic project management and organizational skills
- Adept analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Technical documentation and drafting (CAD/Visio/Excel)
- Clear communication across engineering and operations
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP/PLM systems and production data tools
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to navigate in a manufacturing environment, including navigating stairs
- Successful completion of pre-hire drug screen
- Post offer background screen
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, quality, or other improvement methodologies
- Knowledge of work measurement systems
- Knowledge of internal data systems
