Associate Engineer

Associate Engineer responsible for hands-on field asset evaluation and financial analysis to guide capital planning for community boards. Duties include leading site visits and inspections of common elements (roofing, siding, pavement, mechanical systems, amenities), documenting asset condition with photos and field notes, compiling inspection findings, researching typical replacement costs and estimated remaining useful life, drafting reserve study reports using internal templates, supporting funding plans and reserve projections, and coordinating with engineering, QA, and operations to ensure high-quality deliverables. The role emphasizes a highly consultative approach, client education, and the ability to develop comprehensive yet accessible financial plans from field observations, enabling ownership of an independent schedule and relationships with clients. This position requires in-person work in Ohio (Columbus) and offers an engaging, hands-on field and client-facing engineering environment with structured training to grow reserve study expertise and professional independence.
