Job Summary
Conduct engineering studies for high-voltage overhead utility systems, including line routing guidance, PLS-CADD modeling, and structure/foundation design. Develop design alternatives, run clearance and structural utilization checks, and compose work packages with accurate man-hour estimates. Manage multiple tasks across projects while preparing permitting documentation and coordinating with vendors. This entry-level role supports electric transmission design projects for utility clients throughout the US and Caribbean. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and possess experience with PLS-CADD and industry standards such as NESC and IEEE.

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Desired Qualifications
- EI/EIT certification
- 1+ years of related transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility industry
- Experience using PLS-CADD for designing transmission lines
- Experience with design codes and standards such as NESC, IEEE, ASCE and ACI
- Understanding of basic practices for researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations, and preparing and presenting recommendations
- Ability to prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
- Ability to work in a safe manner and obey safety regulations at all times
- Ability to be a self-starter and thrive in an unstructured, varied, and deadline-driven work environment
- Effective communication skills (verbal, written and presentation skills)
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy
