Job Summary

Perform thermal analysis on refrigeration and airflow systems using simulation tools and empirical calculations. Design and evaluate components including heat exchangers, flow valves, compression systems, and fans. Optimize system performance through cycle balancing and develop competencies in heat and mass transfer for the product development team. Work on new heat exchanger designs for low GWP refrigerants, analyzing boiling and condensation heat transfer for two-phase fluids. Monday to Thursday onsite; Fridays flexible. Requires M.E., M.Tech, or PhD in Thermal Engineering with HVAC industry experience.

Required Qualifications

  • M.E, / M.Tech or PhD – Thermal Engineering
  • B.E with Thermal Background experience from HVAC industry
  • Experience in developing refrigeration system models
  • Ability to develop and analyze different refrigeration circuits
  • Design components like evaporators, condensers, flow valves, piping circuits and system accessories
  • Experience in using the tools like MATLAB, Dymola, CFD and analytic tools using python / Tableau
  • Good knowledge on Low GWP and A2L refrigerants
  • Experience in submitting papers in leading technical journals in thermal science
  • Ability to work on new heat exchanger designs for new low GWP refrigerants
  • Understanding and analysis of boiling and condensation heat transfer for two phase fluids
  • Characterization on different types of heat exchangers
  • Calculation on cycle balancing of components using empirical methods and simulation tools
  • Ability to perform heat exchanger design and analysis using LMTD, NTU method in shell and tube as well as in extended surfaces
  • Good knowledge on radiation heat transfer
  • Mass transfer calculations like evaporative cooling and diffusion mass transfer
  • Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues
  • Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires

Desired Qualifications

  • Elective or Thesis on refrigeration systems
  • Certification from societies like ASME, TEMA
  • Certifications by refrigeration forums and societies of HVAC & R
  • Published technical Journals on thermal science
