Associate Engineer, Ride & Show Engineering (Scenic)

Job Summary

Support scenic scopes of work by providing engineering technical assistance, including calculation, design, drafting, and research. Review vendor-provided design documents, such as drawings, component selections, and test plans, while editing and updating engineering specifications for scenic system delivery. Manage vendors through bidding, manufacturing, testing, shipping, installation, and commissioning of show action equipment, and develop or execute witness testing protocols as authorized. Adhere to established Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in applicable technical field (examples include, but are not limited to, Technical Theatre, Architecture, Set/Scenic Design, Building Construction) or equivalent demonstrated skill and experience
  • Experience in direct theme park specific technical/engineering roles supporting scenic elements (examples include, but are not limited to, rockwork, scenic facades, scenic attractions other visual scenics, artificial foliage, and themed concrete plaster) or similar experience in related technical field

Desired Qualifications

  • Advanced Degree
  • Project experience within the entertainment/theme park industry
  • Any experience in theme park development, construction, show and ride systems design or fabrication
