Job Summary
Apply basic engineering principles to system modifications, commissioning activities, and process troubleshooting for ANC2 operations. Develop, organize, and analyze results for operational issues and minor engineering projects while collaborating with manufacturing, utility operations, and quality assurance teams. Provide on-call support coverage on weekends on a rotating basis. Scope includes Single-Use and Stainless Bioreactors, aseptic operations, and equipment like harvest centrifuges and column chromatography. Utilize systems including Kneat, MES, PAS|X, DeltaV, and Plant Control Tower to implement operational improvements and meet goals.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Engineer experience
- Associate's degree and 4 years of Engineer experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Ability to provide On-Call support coverage on weekends, on a rotating basis
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering or equivalent, with 0 to 3 years of experience in engineering or plant operations
- Experience with regulated environments (i.e. GMP, OSHA, EPA)
- Sound understanding of basic engineering principles and ability to apply them to resolve process issues
- Must possess strong math and computer skills and possess the ability to apply science-based thinking to practical applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and effectively set priorities
- Energetic and technically minded individual
