Job Summary
Associate Engineer in Gas Asset Management – Syracuse, NY responsible for establishing and adhering to condition monitoring, inspection, predictive and preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance for the gas distribution system; lead or participate in internal and external regulatory audits; identify and address compliance gaps with state/federal codes via the integrity management plan; assist in developing risk-based capital plans; communicate system performance to operations and leadership; collaborate with National Grid teams to share best practices in asset management and engineering for Gas Distribution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited institution in an engineering or science discipline
- Preferred two (2) years’ engineering/technical experience
- Ability to perform routine engineering work using standard techniques with moderate oversight
- Awareness of relevant state and federal codes, practices and standards
- Familiarity with Maximo, SAP, PowerPlan, Alteryx, Power BI, PowerApps (preferred)
- Ability to develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, Power Platform, and SharePoint
- Valid driver’s license with safe driving history
