Job Summary
Develop and maintain robotic software and hardware components, including system configuration, incident resolution, and solution testing. Build prototypes, execute unit tests, and verify product reliability through systematic testing in various environments. Operate and monitor systems while supporting production releases and collaborating with project teams and customers. Train users, participate in technical and customer meetings, and escalate issues to supervisors as needed. Propose technical improvements and ensure all tasks comply with established processes and security standards.
Required Qualifications
- Student in Robotics
- Knowledge of the MAVLink protocol
- Understanding of network and serial communication protocols (UART, UDP, TCP, I2C)
- Programming skills in C++ and Python
- Familiarity with MAVSDK or PyMAVLink libraries for companion computer and autopilot integration
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of ROS/ROS2
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu)
- Basic knowledge of electronics, microcontrollers, and soldering
- Experience or knowledge of integrating sensors such as IMU, GPS, LiDAR, and cameras
- Understanding of robotic system architecture, including Companion Computers and Flight/Drive Controllers
- Knowledge of closed-loop control systems and PID controllers
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to search for and interpret information from technical documentation and engineering resources
- Willingness to work on physical prototyping as well as laboratory and field testing activities
- Good command of English, enabling effective use of technical documentation
Desired Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of PX4 Autopilot or ArduPilot
- Familiarity with QGroundControl or Mission Planner
- Experience working with simulation environments such as Gazebo or jMAVSim
- Knowledge of Software-in-the-Loop (SITL) configuration and testing
- Basic understanding of mobile robot kinematics, including differential drive and Ackermann steering systems
