Job Summary

Maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems to protect, monitor, automate, and control them. Conceive and develop concepts for new product ideas and enhancements. Prepare and maintain product documentation, including data sheets, instruction manuals, project notebooks, and design and test documentation. Provide engineering support for customers, product managers, and field application engineers while completing assigned work using established procedures under immediate supervision. Follow SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles. This Associate Engineer role is part of the Engineering Rotation Program, offering three unique engineering divisions across 18 months. The company invents, designs, and builds digital products and systems that protect power grids around the world.

Required Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills
  • Self-motivated with continuous desire to learn and find solutions
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Background check results satisfactory to SEL
  • Negative drug test result(s)
