Job Summary
Translate and maintain scalable data pipelines and frameworks for ingestion, processing, storage and consumption; perform root cause analysis on internal/external data systems; improve accuracy, performance, SLAs and architecture; uphold data engineering practices including clean code, automation testing, CI/CD, logging, monitoring and alerting; participate in code reviews and ensure development guidelines are followed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field
- 1-4 years of experience in Data/Backend/SRE/Platform Engineering
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts
- Self-starter with willingness to learn
- Strong SQL knowledge and relational databases
- Experience building big data pipelines and data sets
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive or equivalent
- Orchestration/workflow tools such as Airflow or equivalent
- Experience with Python, Scala or equivalent
- Any Cloud experience is good to have but not mandatory
