Job Summary
The Associate Engagement Coordinator drives the employment life cycle for the assigned store, focusing on internal employee engagement initiatives to foster a people-first culture. Responsibilities include managing full-cycle recruiting in Workday (posting jobs, conducting interviews, coordinating final interviews with store leadership), completing offers and onboarding, conducting store orientation, partnering with the local HR Business Partner to post events or staff resources, overseeing the first 90 days to validate training and drive retention, and owning store engagement programs with daily/weekly/periodic recognition. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, strong written and verbal communication, compliance ownership at the store/location level (including timely terminations, I-9 processing, and Minor Binder), and support for scheduling and workforce management reporting. Additional duties may be assigned. The candidate should demonstrate confidentiality, attention to detail, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced retail environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma (Required)
- College degree or college coursework in Business Administration, Human Resources or related area preferred
- One-year Human Resources administrative support experience or Human Resource college coursework required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer service skills; ability to interact with associates at all levels
- Attention to detail, strong data entry skills and effective organization, prioritization and multi-tasking skills
- Ability to handle and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Knowledge of principles and practices of human resources is highly preferred
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required
- Prior experience with HRIS/HRMS preferred
