Associate Energy Market Analyst (Support)

Job Summary
Learn the PLEXOS and Aurora software platforms to an advanced level and provide technical support for SaaS and Desktop offerings, tracking cases from start to finish. Collaborate with developers to resolve issues, document requests, and maintain user documentation while constructing client tools and examples. Deliver onsite and web-based training, compose educational articles and videos, and assist Account Management with retention calls and trade show presentations. Maintain power market knowledge and communicate trends and requirements to the development team. Travel to client sites as required. The support team operates across shifts including 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM IST and 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM IST, with schedules expected to change from January.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree: Electrical Engineering (Mandate)
- Demonstrated working knowledge of power systems, electricity/power markets
- Knowledge of fundamental energy market analysis, capacity markets, environmental markets, demand side management/energy efficiency, electric utility resource planning approach
- Demonstrated working knowledge of SaaS products and experience troubleshooting issues with Cloud offerings
- Demonstrated capability of effectively communicating complex ideas and analysis verbally, in document format (Word), and in presentation format (Power Point)
- Experience with computer and database management languages such as VBA, Python and SQL
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
- Experience with power market production cost and expansion planning models
- Degree or certificate specializing in Power Markets
- Must be flexible and open to working across all shift patterns as required
- Must be able to travel to client sites as required
