Job Summary
Design, develop, integrate, and test software for end-user customers and businesses, specifically focusing on cockpit displays and real-time operating systems for flight and safety mission-critical subsystems. Participate in the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, qualification, and delivery within Agile Scrum teams. Analyze system capabilities to resolve problems regarding program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, and controls while working with multi-disciplinary teams in Systems Engineering, Test Automation, and DevSecOps. Manage software change control and CI/CD processes using tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitHub.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- 0 years of related engineering experience
- Familiarity with developing software and scripts in Java, Object Oriented C++ AND/OR Python
- Familiarity with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), AND/OR GitHub
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math)
- 2 years of related experience
- OR Masters degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related experience
- Demonstrated professional experience developing software and scripts in Java, Object Oriented C++ AND/OR Python within the last 2 years
- Experience with Software Change Control, Change Management, and CI/CD tools such as: Atlassian (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo), AND/OR GitHub within the last 2 years
- Must have an active U.S. Government Secret or higher clearance
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance prior to the commencement of employment
- U.S. Citizenship
Desired Qualifications
- Ability to collaborate with systems engineers, hardware designers and integration/test engineers to develop and maintain complex software systems
- Experience with DOORs AND/OR Software Requirement Specification Testing using Simulators, automated scripting languages such as Python, AND/OR Bash
- Familiarity with Architecting, Designing, Modeling, Implementing, Maintaining, Integrating, Debugging, Verifying and Qualifying Safety-Critical Embedded Real Time Software written in OO C++ running on Real-Time Operating Systems such as: VxWorks, Integrity, AND/OR Real Time Embedded Linux
- Experience interacting with and/or developing safety critical applications/systems
