Job Summary
Lead complex base building electrical projects from concept through construction, overseeing project delivery, resource planning, and financial performance while ensuring compliance with technical standards and codes. Mentor engineers, designers, and technical staff through performance reviews, recruitment support, and daily guidance to foster a high-performing team. Review drawings, specifications, and calculations to maintain quality objectives, and develop strong client relationships by representing the firm at meetings and supporting business development initiatives. Report to the Principal Electrical to drive the growth of the Electrical practice and contribute to strategic planning within this multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy.
Required Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with Professional Engineers Ontario
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Progressive consulting engineering experience with a focus on base building electrical systems
- Demonstrated experience leading project teams and mentoring technical staff
- Strong knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC), Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), ASHRAE, and other applicable codes and standards
- Proficiency with AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of project management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship management skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to delivering high-quality work and building lasting client relationships
