Job Summary
Associate Electrical Mechanic on the B-52 program in San Antonio, TX, performing connector terminations (shielded wires, coaxial cables, fiber optic wiring), routing and handling of harnesses, sealing/wrapping/bonding/closure of wire harnesses and cables, reading engineering drawings and technical orders to modify and repair electrical systems, installing and inspecting assemblies, troubleshooting avionics and aircraft electrical issues, and complying with safety and operating procedures. The role requires hands-on wiring, use of tooling/fixtures for depot-level modification and repair, interpretation of blueprints and diagrams, coordination of materials/tools, and maintaining required certifications and security clearance. On-site work is required, with potential for overtime and weekend shifts; FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant is favored.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems
- 4+ years of experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings and standard operating procedures
- 4+ years of experience with component and wire installation to include repairing, modifying, testing and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems
- Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and overtime
- 52-week availability for shift patterns and readiness for on-site work
