Job Summary
Design and develop low-voltage and medium-voltage switchboards and switchgear by preparing schematics, single-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts. Support equipment selection for circuit breakers, busbars, and control components while coordinating with the mechanical engineering team to ensure integrated panel layouts. Prepare Bills of Materials and engineering documentation, resolving assembly queries and reviewing customer specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements. Maintain accurate engineering documentation with controlled revisions while following company standards and project schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
- 0–2 years of experience in electrical design, manufacturing, or power systems
- Basic understanding of electrical power distribution systems
- Familiarity with electrical drawings, single-line diagrams, and wiring schematics
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other electrical drafting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Eagerness to learn and develop in a manufacturing environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to switchboards, switchgear, motor control centers (MCCs), or industrial control panels through coursework, internships, or work experience
- Basic knowledge of NEC, IEEE, or relevant electrical standards
- Familiarity with protection devices, electrical components, and panel assembly processes
