Job Summary

Lead electrical design for data centre projects across the UK/EMEA, owning electrical design across feasibility, concept, scheme and detailed design through procurement, construction, commissioning and handover. Define and validate power architectures (utility intake, MV/LV distribution, UPS topologies, generators, switchgear, PDUs, STS, busway, earthing, and lighting) and lead power systems studies (load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, arc-flash, harmonic analysis) using ETAP/SKM. Integrate monitoring and controls (BMS/EPMS/SCADA), metering strategies, and resilience features aligned to availability objectives (Tier II–IV). Embed decarbonization and energy efficiency (high‐efficiency UPS, advanced controls, heat recovery, demand response, on‐site renewables, grid‐interactive strategies). Ensure compliance with standards (IEC/BS/EN, NEC/NFPA), client specifications, and AECOM quality procedures. Coordinate multi‐disciplinary interfaces to deliver fully integrated designs. Requirements include hyperscale/multi‐site project experience, leadership of DC project work streams in the UK (and preferably across EMEA), strong client-facing and team-development capabilities, and broad understanding of mechanical interfacing with data centres. Hybrid work options are offered, with a flexible arrangement across office/remote/client sites.
