Associate EHS Consultant - Environmental focus

Job Summary

Develop and increase knowledge of assigned customers and organizational procedures to make appropriate recommendations to management. Serve as a single point of contact to implement environmental activities that provide compliance solutions for EHS issues. Assist higher-level teammates in monitoring practices to facilitate compliance with company and regulatory policies, including providing basic reports and supporting training programs. Research, develop, and evaluate programs and policies while tracking regulatory changes and legislative activities. With guidance, interpret regulations and laws when working with federal, state, and local authorities. Maintain positive working relationships with peers, customers, and management to effectively complete work activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health and Safety, Science, or Engineering
  • High School/GED AND 4 year(s) related work experience
  • Ability to safely maneuver on uneven terrain
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License
  • 5-15% travel
  • Relocation Assistance Provided (as applicable)
  • Ability to work lawfully in the U.S. without employment-based immigration sponsorship

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering and Science Technology
  • Master's degree in Science
  • Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and/or Qualified Environmental Professional
  • Knowledge of environmental regulatory compliance requirements, scientific practices, quality assurance principles, and auditing principles
  • Demonstrated technical skills in multimedia environmental (air, water, waste)
  • Effective communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills with a customer-oriented focus
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with management
  • With guidance can develop and implement systems and processes that comply with environmental laws and regulations, corporate policies, and goals
  • Experience in negotiating with regulators at the state and/or federal level
  • Experience in supporting EH&S compliance at multiple facilities/regions within multiple regulatory jurisdictions
