Job Summary
Write 3 to 5 news stories weekly, combining aggregated and original reporting on outdoor culture. Package content for maximum reach by applying SEO, social, and news best practices to headlines, intros, imagery, and metadata. Attend three weekly news meetings to pitch stories and actively contribute to content planning and audience growth discussions. Monitor media and social platforms to spot emerging trends, while filming on-site videos to accompany written pieces. Collaborate with the Adventure channel editorial team to align with brand voice and workflow, mastering WordPress for publishing. Edit and proofread content from contributors to ensure accuracy, structure, and clarity.
