Job Summary
Greet donors and customers with friendly service, then rotate through donor door, cashier, processor, and merchandising duties based on daily demand. Accurately process sales transactions for cash and credit while receiving, unloading, and sorting donated goods to determine their quality and usability. Hang, tag, price, and stock merchandise efficiently to meet production goals, maintaining cleanliness across the sales floor, donation area, stockroom, and restrooms. Ensure compliance with safety standards and loss prevention procedures while supporting team members by flexing between cashier, production, and sales floor roles as needed. Complete required training, HazMat awareness, and equipment certifications within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to follow directions
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Dependable attendance
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to push/pull loaded Gaylords/carts up to 150 lbs. with assistance/tools
- Ability to work in moderate noise and occasional outdoor conditions
- Ability to complete required training, HazMat awareness, and equipment certifications within 30 days of hire
- Basic proficiency with POS, handheld scanners, barcode printers
- Willingness to learn AI-assisted item recognition/price suggestion tools as deployed
- Willingness to learn Goodwill standards for donations, pricing, and sales
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment
