Job Summary
Develop construction work packages for the electric distribution system using Bentley Open Utilities CAD GIS and other client systems; perform engineering calculations including structural analysis of poles, guying, cable pulling, electric demand, transformer sizing, voltage drop and flicker, and coordination of protective devices; work in OH, UG, or URD environments; assist with forestry trimming requests, Right-of-Way permit acquisition, BOM development, cost estimation, and easement acquisition; travel to multiple project locations for field investigations; collaborate with other disciplines (Substation, Protection & Controls, Civil/Structural); opportunity for growth through EIT/PE/PMP training and leadership development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline or related field
- 0+ months of prior relevant experience working directly with an electric utility or with a consulting/contracting company performing design engineering for electric utilities
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) required
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
