Job Summary
Lead the organization in all parts of the transfer process by developing marketing plans, strategies, and materials to enhance recruitment of transfer students. Oversee the transfer application review process, including reviewing caseloads, monitoring counselor progress, and making admissions decisions on borderline cases. Manage staff operations by recruiting, screening, hiring, training, scheduling, and assigning work while assessing performance and providing feedback. Counsel applicants on admission policies, resolve difficult problems, and apply transfer credit guidelines during application assessment. Represent USC to students, parents, alumni, and community college counselors while maintaining professional currency through active participation in internal and external associations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years experience
- Lead or supervisory recruitment and admissions experience
- knowledge of financial aid policies
- demonstrated experience and understanding of the national landscape of college admissions
- experience using data, evaluating the marketplace and analyzing for results and trends in undergraduate recruitment
- strong commitment to USC's Unifying Values
