Job Summary
Associate Director in Turnaround and Restructuring role within KPMG's national team, based in Sydney. You will engage in engagements across advisory, restructuring, and formal insolvency, deploying data analytics to diagnose issues and design integrated solutions including due diligence, financial analysis, and cashflow modelling. You will build trusted partnerships to deliver scenario planning and guide directors/CEOs on obligations, collaborate with team members nationwide, and contribute to marketing proposals and pitch packs while translating data into succinct insights to drive value for clients across industries including banks, private credit, and law firms.
Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to turnaround, restructuring, insolvency, or related field; ideally a post-graduate qualification or on pathway to completion (e.g., CA, CPA, CFA, ARITA or TMA certification)
- Recent experience in similar consulting firms, independent corporate advisory, accounting or law firms, investment banking, private credit, or within commercial teams in operational businesses
- Ability to prepare reports and presentations and deliver financial analysis
- Proficiency with Excel to interpret and model data
- Strong communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to link data analysis to issue identification and solution design
- Comfort with cross-functional collaboration in national/global teams
- Experience across advisory, restructuring, and formal insolvency engagements
- Knowledge of going concern analysis, scenario planning, due diligence, and cashflow modelling
