Job Summary

Oversee Navigators, Durable Medical Equipment, Home Accessibility, Independent Living, Assistance Dogs, and Advocacy departments while partnering with the Executive Director on strategic priorities and operational oversight. Coach department directors and managers to foster accountability, collaboration, and professional growth. Evaluate operational performance, financial indicators, and consumer outcomes to drive continuous improvement and sustainability. Support budgeting, staffing, grant development, and resource allocation to strengthen organizational effectiveness. Represent The Ability Center within the community and act as the Executive Director's designee for delegated operational matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in organizational leadership, nonprofit management, disability studies, human services, public administration, social work, or a related field
  • Five or more years of progressive leadership experience, including supervising managers or program leaders
  • Understanding of disability inclusion, accessibility, and the principles of Independent Living, or a demonstrated commitment and ability to quickly develop this expertise
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple departments or programs, coaching and supporting leaders, implementing strategic initiatives, and improving organizational performance
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience evaluating operational, financial, and outcome data to support strategic decision-making
