Job Summary
Lead a team of 7-9 professionals for New Product Introduction (NPI) in Biologics, driving technology transfers to manufacturing with financial accountability, providing technical guidance for day-to-day production and processing issues, and ensuring compliance with validation requirements. Oversee cross-functional efforts to improve processes, maintain product history, evaluate new equipment and supplier changes, and implement global technical initiatives while ensuring EH&S compliance. The role requires advanced degree in science, extensive process-engineering experience, and strong leadership and communication capabilities to interact with QA, Validation, IS, EHS, R&D, and S&T across AbbVie sites.
Required Qualifications
- M.Sc. in a relevant Science area
- extensive experience in a hands-on Process Engineering or development for new product introduction
- experience managing and leading professional teams including Engineers/Scientists
- experience leading product transfer and New Product Introduction projects
- regulatory filing experience and familiarity with HA audits
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills across multiple departments and sites
- computer literacy with knowledge of statistical methods and data interpretation
- ability to influence decisions and obtain approvals for critical actions
