Job Summary
Manage daily administrative duties for the Surgical Services unit, including staffing, scheduling, bed control, and materials management. Coordinate interdisciplinary planning for patient care, facilitate collaboration with physicians, and monitor quality improvement activities through patient care auditing. Lead assigned associates by providing performance feedback, overseeing orientation and training programs, and utilizing HR systems to ensure compliance with policies and accreditation standards. Assist in fiscal planning, budget preparation, and unit-level short- and long-range strategic planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Experience with electronic/hybrid medical records
- Minimum of three (3) years' experience in acute care
- Minimum of 1 year leadership or management experience
- Ability to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while using critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job
- Ability to multitask while remaining professional, focused, composed and positive
- Excellent customer service skills
- Displays integrity, friendliness, and compassion
- Ability to establish an appropriate and effective rapport with others
- Demonstrates flexibility
