Job Summary
Associate Director, Structural Engineer leading the design of reinforced concrete water infrastructure in Scotland and across the UK&I. Technical leadership for complex structural design, acting as technical authority across multidisciplinary teams, overseeing design outputs for quality and safety, and driving project delivery from concept through detailed design and construction support. Mentors Senior and Principal Engineers, develops high-performing teams, and engages with clients and delivery partners. Supports bids and technical work-winning activities, fosters innovation to improve project outcomes, and coordinates with civil, mechanical, process, and geotechnical disciplines while maintaining alignment with safety, ethics, and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Chartered Engineer (MICE and/or MIStructE)
- Significant experience delivering reinforced concrete and structural steelwork structural design (within the water sector or other highly regulated infrastructure sectors)
- Significant and broad ranging structural design experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams and managing technical delivery
- Ability to communicate complex engineering decisions clearly to clients and stakeholders
