Job Summary
Associate Director, Strategy & Media Relations to execute a global top-tier media strategy, manage outreach across print, broadcast, and digital media, develop unique storylines and pitches, prepare briefing materials, train spokespeople, oversee agency partners, and drive issues management. Will build relationships with top-tier media, monitor external trends, advise on where BMS should have a voice, and champion the use of AI and emerging tools to enhance content and impact. Requires 8+ years in media relations, strong writing/storytelling abilities, AP style fluency, ability to translate complex topics into clear messaging, and a Bachelor’s degree; role is hybrid with Princeton, NJ based work.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of media relations experience
- existing relationships with top business, consumer and financial media
- excellent writing and research skills with knowledge of AP style
- issues management experience preferred
- strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into messaging
- ability to interact with multiple levels of colleagues across a complex organization
- ability to counsel senior leaders
- strong storytelling and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism or related field
