Job Summary
Associate Director (Research Grants, Pre-Award) leads strategic and operational delivery of pre-award grant services, overseeing development and submission of competitive grant applications, and supporting researchers to strengthen funding pipelines in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment. Reports to the Director (Research Office) and collaborates with senior leaders, researchers, and professional staff to advance national and international funding opportunities. This senior leadership role requires providing expert strategic advice on funding opportunities, balancing strategic initiatives with operational coordination during peak funding periods, and ensuring high-quality client-focused research support while backfilling parental leave through May 2027 at UQ's Toowong & St Lucia campuses. Experience in managing teams, stakeholder engagement, and navigating the university’s research funding landscape is essential.
