Job Summary
Associate (Director) Relationship Manager, Project Finance Europe based in Utrecht leads a portfolio of European project-finance clients in renewables and digital infrastructure. The role involves managing client relationships after financial close, performing credit analyses with external and internal models, drafting credit papers, and translating findings into clear recommendations. Collaborates with RPM and OSE teams to monitor market developments, grow the franchise, and support energy-transition financing. Responsibilities include independently handling client requests (annual reviews, refinancings, amendments), maintaining close client contact to identify opportunities, ensuring documentation compliance, and contributing to internal working groups. The position offers a development budget, a hybrid work environment, and a strong focus on work-life balance. 36-40 hours per week; two roles (Associate and Associate Director) with different levels of responsibility; English fluency required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics or another finance-oriented study
- 3+ year (Associate) 5+ years (Associate Director) of relevant work experience in a finance-focused or project finance(-related) role
- Energy transition or digital infrastructure knowledge is a plus
- Strong financial analysis skills and the motivation to work deeply with models
- Ability to translate analysis into clear conclusions and practical next steps
- Affinity with legal documentation and interpretation of contracts
- Relationship management skills with professional clients
- Strong time management and clear prioritisation across varied work
- Positive mindset and persistence, also when routine or less visible tasks need attention
- Team player mentality
- Fluent English, spoken and written
