Job Summary
Associate Director Registered Nurse RN Intraop in Banner Health’s University Medical Center Phoenix seeks an experienced nursing leader to provide managerial and clinical support for designated units. The role focuses on developing departmental leaders, supporting retention, change management, and improving departmental efficiency. Responsibilities include overseeing patient-centered nursing care, unit operations, quality and process improvement initiatives, budgeting and resource management, staff recruitment and onboarding, coaching and performance evaluation, and fostering leadership development while collaborating with physicians and other leaders to advance the department’s growth strategy. A BSN or MSN is required, along with an active RN license in Arizona, BLS certification, and prior clinical management experience in a related patient population. Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in nursing and additional related experience.
Required Qualifications
- BSN or MSN required for all new hires
- Current RN license in state of practice
- BLS certification
- Two years of clinical management experience relevant to patient population
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills of specialty area
- Strong communication, leadership, decision-making, analytical and flexibility skills
