Job Summary
Co-develop high-quality, decision-ready Program Budgets with Development Program Managers and Program Finance, embedding drug-development and financial expertise directly within program teams. Forecast resource capacity and costs, building end-to-end development plans from IND through lifecycle management while ensuring consistent, comparable outputs across the portfolio. Manage timely entry and exit points for budget updates and facilitate strategic planning processes to guide SPTs through investment prioritization. Partner with leadership at all levels to improve consistency of deliverables and support confident investment decisions across Development, Research, Commercial, and Manufacturing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years industry experience
- 5+ years in project management experience
- Significant experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry
- Strong understanding of drug development activities from early development through lifecycle management
- Strong financial competence
- Proven experience building and evaluating program budgets
- Proven experience with resource forecasts
- Proven experience with development costs
- Proven strategic planning and portfolio management experience
- Ability to synthesize complex program information into clear, decision-ready outputs
- Proven ability to operate as an embedded content expert and thought partner to program leadership
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to negotiate
- Proven ability to influence
- Proven ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership
- Excellent communication skills (written/verbal)
- Ability to present complex financial and strategic information clearly
- IT proficiency with MS software
- Experience with Excel-based financial modeling
- Experience with project management tools
- Experience with process mapping tools
- Location: Tarrytown NY or Warren, NJ
- Travel percentage: <10%
