Job Summary
Associate Director, Product Innovation to drive the future pipeline by identifying new drug candidates and indications, performing in-depth disease analyses, market and competitive intelligence, and transforming data into concise, actionable insights. You will develop high-quality analyses and pitch decks to enable value-oriented decision-making for executive leadership, collaborate across functions to support early research projects, stay current with scientific and regulatory developments, and establish processes and templates to support Ascendis Pharma's growth. The role requires a strong biological profile, significant lead-finding and drug development experience, excellent synthesis and communication skills, and the ability to translate complex scientific and commercial information into clear recommendations. Travel 20-30 days/year; based in Hellerup, Denmark with offices in Europe and the US.
Required Qualifications
- PhD preferred in life sciences
- Significant experience in lead finding and drug development
- 5+ years industry experience in pharma/biotech
- 3+ years in business development, competitive intelligence, market research or similar
- Strong ability to synthesize complex information and present actionable insights
- Professional fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency with MS Office
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to travel ~20-30 days/year
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to navigate complex environments
- Ability to operate in cross-functional teams across research and commercial domains
