Job Summary
Associate Director-PLM role leading the Collins Digital Technology team in Bengaluru, India. Define and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and roadmap for the enterprise PLM ecosystem, and drive governance, data quality, and lifecycle management across PLM platforms (e.g., Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE). Lead transformation initiatives to create a unified Digital Thread and Digital Twin strategy, connecting design, simulation, manufacturing, and service. Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, IT, Supply Chain, Quality, and Compliance to align PLM capabilities with enterprise priorities; establish governance standards, KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics; drive automation, standardization, and platform optimization; build and scale a high-performing team of solution managers, analysts, and engineers; manage vendor relationships, licensing, and cost optimization; and drive change management for upgrades and new features while delivering measurable business outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Science, or a related STEM field (or equivalent experience)
- 15+ years of PLM experience in engineering/manufacturing environments
- Deep expertise in PLM platforms such as Siemens Teamcenter, Dassault Enovia, Windchill, 3DEXPERIENCE
- Proven leadership experience in building and executing PLM strategies and transformation roadmaps
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management, configuration control, change management, BOM management, data governance
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and enterprise-wide initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and executive influencing skills
- Ability to drive measurable business outcomes through automation, standardization, and platform optimization
- Strong problem-solving, execution mindset, and ability to lead in fast-paced environments
