Job Summary
Associate Director, Planning at WPP Media leads strategic planning for key clients, directing senior-level client relationships, guiding a high-performing planning team, and shaping growth through innovative, data-driven media solutions. Drives client WIPs, ensures campaign and market updates are actioned, challenges clients and teams to deliver tangible business results, oversees work quality, leads contract negotiations and reviews, mentors the planning team, and contributes to new business pitches. Requires 8+ years in media planning, strong leadership and client-management capabilities, deep knowledge of media channels, strategic thinking, and excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of planning experience in a media agency
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and grooming a team
- Proven track record in client management and building senior-level relationships
- Solid knowledge of all media channels and a proven ability to create integrated, strategic media recommendations
- Strong business and commercial acumen
- Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Deep understanding of the industry, business, brands, and consumers to lead client conversations with authority
