Associate Director of Stewardship Communication

Job Summary
Develop compelling impact stories, reports, videos, and web content to connect donors with the University of North Dakota's programs and possibilities. Conduct interviews and write narratives for stewardship pieces and the Alumni Magazine while leading an impact report team to develop vision, manage information collection, and design processes for annual and lifetime reports. Serve as project manager for videography efforts, assisting in personalized stewardship plans for high-level donors, and executing communication strategies for annual giving, quarterly impact, and first-time donor plans. Manage the ThankView platform, update webpages, cultivate cross-campus partnerships, and execute social media campaigns aimed at donor relations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, advertising, business or related fields
- Demonstrated project management experience in creating project plans with concise, executable timelines and measurable results
- Knowledge and experience working across diverse mediums, including print, electronic, social networking, video, and other emerging media
- Demonstrated excellent writing skills and story-telling capability
- Strong organizational skills and proven ability to follow through with experience working with a project management system
- Strong ability to collaborate effectively with partners
- Ability to operate computers, telephones, and other standard office equipment
- Ability to focus and complete work in a timely manner
- Ability to travel independently via car and air
- Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, squat, and lift or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Excellent written, verbal, and editorial communication skills
- Strong storytelling, research, and interviewing abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects with exceptional attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience with digital content creation, websites, social media, etc
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms
- Working knowledge of fundraising, donor relations, and stewardship
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to continuous learning
- Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US
- Must complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire
- Must be an in-office position
Desired Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience working in communications, marketing, media, journalism or public relations
- Master's degree in a relevant field
- Previous experience working in a nonprofit or academic setting
