Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of 5–6 Project Managers to deliver large-scale maintenance projects across Iowa Select Farms facilities; ensure projects meet scope, schedule, and budget while maintaining safety, biosecurity, and environmental standards; mentor managers, align project portfolio with long-term infrastructure goals, and provide routine reporting to senior leadership including risks and progress; manage budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional collaboration with farm operations, maintenance teams, and vendors; champion process improvements and standardized practices to enhance project success rates across the department.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Agriculture, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in project management, with at least 2–3 years leading other Project Managers or managing a team.
- Strong knowledge of facility maintenance systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects simultaneously across multiple sites.
- Vendor and contractor management experience, including negotiation and performance oversight.
- Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to develop and inspire a high-performing team.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to safety, biosecurity, animal welfare, and environmental standards.
- Proficiency with project management software and reporting tools.
