Job Summary
Associate Director of Partnerships to lead the development and execution of AFC’s industry and non-governmental partnership strategy. Responsibilities include coordinating collaboration across program teams, expanding relationships with nonprofits, corporations, trade associations, and other entities to support flood resilience, representing AFC at industry events, and driving a holistic partnership strategy to bridge public and private sector efforts. Requires cultivating and maintaining bipartisan relationships, tracking engagement, and ensuring a consistent external experience. Ideal candidate will have 7+ years in stakeholder engagement or corporate partnerships, strong project management skills, excellent communication, and a bachelor’s degree. This is a full-time, Washington, DC-based role with a hybrid schedule (in-office Tuesdays and Thursdays with optional remote days) and relocation assistance for those outside the DC metro area.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 7+ years of experience in stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and/or corporate partnership management
- experience with resilience, flooding, or disasters (preferred)
- excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
- strong project management skills across multi-workstream programs
- ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences
- ability to work across program teams and represent organization at industry events
