Job Summary
Associate Director of Parish Life who designs and delivers transformative formation experiences to align parish leaders with the Archdiocesan Pastoral Vision; provides personalized coaching and consulting to pastors and parish teams; leads strategic conversations, fosters collaboration and shared mission at parish and deanery levels; champions organizational health by identifying best practices and adapting models; updates Parish Pastoral Council Guidelines; creates engaging digital content and communications; builds partnerships with lay movements and Archdiocesan offices; assesses parish strategies and provides actionable recommendations; models pastoral accompaniment and walks with parish leaders through transitions; documents and reports insights to inform Archdiocesan initiatives (using Asana); engages in ongoing formation in pastoral councils, organizational health, leadership, facilitation, and pastoral study; identifies pastoral needs and responds appropriately; communicates effectively across varied settings; collaborates across the organization and parishes to advance mission; balances stakeholder interests; adheres to safety protocols; protects confidentiality of sensitive information; complies with Code of Conduct and Faith and Moral Policy; performs other duties as assigned; travel up to 20% local and 5% overnight.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in organizational health and leadership or Bachelor’s degree with related certifications and experience
- 6 years’ pastoral ministry experience at parish/diocesan level in evangelization & catechesis, youth & young adults, peace & social justice, liturgy & worship, or marriage & family life
- 3 years’ professional or ministerial leadership experience in team building, pastoral/strategic planning, project management, transition management
- Previous experience in coaching, consulting, and developing workshops/trainings
- Reliable transportation, valid driver license, valid vehicle insurance
- Roman Catholic in Good Standing with the Church
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Canva, Asana preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication, ability to write reports and procedures
- Ability to apply interpersonal, leadership, organizational health, and strategic planning methods in parish context
- Travel up to 20% local and 5% overnight
