Job Summary
Associate Director, Microbiology for the North Carolina Site leads day-to-day and strategic microbiology and environmental monitoring functions, provides technical sales support, manages staff, and ensures compliance with quality, health, and safety objectives. Oversees office/lab operations, budgeting, equipment maintenance, process improvements, and coordination of workload to meet client requirements, with responsibilities spanning hiring, training, coaching, performance feedback, and development of EM programs. Requires strong leadership, laboratory techniques, and interpersonal skills to interact with multiple departments and client personnel, plus knowledge of cGMP, FDA regulations, LIMS/ELN, and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in microbiology, or a related discipline is required
- Minimum 8 years of related work experience with 2 years management
- Knowledge of cGMPs and related compliance regulations and guidances
- Experience with LIMS and ELN and Environmental Monitoring
