Job Summary
Senior marketing and communications leader responsible for translating organizational priorities into integrated campaigns, storytelling, brand execution, and communications initiatives at Peninsula Family Service. She/he leads campaign architecture, content strategy, and editorial calendars; oversees donor communications, fundraising-related storytelling, and external communications; mentors a Marketing Manager; collaborates with the CMCO to ensure brand governance and cross-channel consistency; partners with internal teams and external vendors to deliver collateral, multimedia content, and campaigns; supports PR activities, media coordination, and AI-enabled tooling to scale output. This role emphasizes strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with responsibilities spanning content creation, social media, storytelling and video support, vendor management, budgeting, and cross-functional project management. Located in the organization’s Tri-County region with hybrid work expectations (onsite 2–3 days/week as noted). Demonstrates strong writing, editorial, and storytelling skills, a track record of managing integrated campaigns, experience with CMS and marketing tools (WordPress, Asana, Canva, Adobe Creative), and a commitment to equity and diverse community engagement.
Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of progressive experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or related field
- Significant nonprofit or mission-driven communications experience
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse communities with cultural competency
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills
- Experience leading integrated campaigns across digital and print
- Strong social media strategy and engagement experience
- Experience managing collateral development and production workflows
- Experience managing vendors and multiple projects
- Familiarity with AI-assisted tools
- Ability to work independently with strong judgment
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS, email marketing platforms, Asana, Canva, Adobe Creative, social media management tools, and AI-powered content and design tools
- Experience in working with Advancement teams on donor communications projects
