Associate Director of Labor and Employee Relations

Associate Director of Labor and Employee Relations at NYC Campaign Finance Board will manage internal labor relations investigations, union grievances, and the contractual grievance process; serve as Hearing Officer for grievances and disciplinary appeals; represent the agency at hearings before the Office of Labor Relations and arbitration sessions; coordinate management-side witnesses and documentation; negotiate settlements in grievance and collective bargaining activities; liaise with internal legal and general counsel on employee matters; interpret CBAs and directives; coordinate disciplinary processes and assist managers with performance actions; lead investigations of misconduct, prepare reports, and support labor-management meetings; act as Health & Safety Coordinator and support Workplace Violence, Occupational Health & Safety, and Workers’ Compensation policies; advise leadership on progressive discipline, policy compliance, and organizational culture with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging; requires strong knowledge of labor relations, arbitration, NY civil service laws, and excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
