Job Summary
Lead the KM team for M&A and Private Equity practice groups, including KM counsel and lawyers, by providing guidance, supporting growth, and ensuring consistent performance. Develop frameworks for practicing lawyer involvement in KM activities, manage workflow allocation, and establish annual priorities with adequate resourcing. Distill internal deal datasets to prepare market insights for internal and external use while monitoring legal and market trends to develop communication materials for practice leadership, clients, and prospects. Collaborate with Technology & Information Services leadership to implement AI-based workflows for document analysis and protect all highly sensitive, confidential, and proprietary firm information. This role reports to the Director of Global Knowledge Management and may offer a hybrid schedule.
Required Qualifications
- A JD or its equivalent
- Admission to at least one US State Bar or other jurisdiction in which the firm operates
- A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible practice management experience in legal or other professional services environment
- A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in a management role
- A minimum of eight (8) years as a practicing attorney with a leading international law firm, with significant experience in M&A and/or Private Equity transactions
Desired Qualifications
- Possess deep subject matter knowledge of M&A and Private Equity practice, including market standards, deal structures, and regulatory frameworks relevant to KM resource development
- Exhibit a strong ability to quickly and fully understand the Practice Group's strategy and priorities
- Demonstrate a strong ability to quickly build a deep understanding of the areas of expertise and the nature of services provided by Practice Group and the KM Team
