Job Summary
Associate Director of Development at Jewish Family Service of San Diego leads donor engagement and fundraising for a portfolio of 140–180 donors, aiming to secure major and annual gifts (minimum $1,200). Responsible for relationship management, donor stewardship, solicitation, and cross-department collaboration to align donor interests with organizational priorities. Plans and executes donor events, contributes to annual giving plans, and travels throughout Southern California as needed. Must demonstrate strong relationship-management skills, excellent interpersonal and written communication, and proficiency with donor databases (Raiser’s Edge strongly preferred). Requires a Bachelor’s Degree (preferred) and at least 3 years of fundraising/nonprofit development experience. Salary range $90,000–$100,000 annually plus comprehensive benefits; position located in San Diego, CA with in-person duties and travel expectations.
