Job Summary
Associate Director of Development responsible for building and managing a donor portfolio (75–125 donors, with capacity to give over $1,000,000) and driving donor engagement through activation visits and moves, maintaining CRM donor records, and achieving an annual fundraising goal (typically $1,000,000+). The role involves developing strategies, prospect research, liaising with partners across Oceania and Asia-Pacific, coordinating plans and reports, organizing strategic fundraising events, and ensuring compliance with policy and privacy standards. Travel frequently, including to remote areas with donors, and work long and flexible hours. Collaborative work across internal teams and external stakeholders to steward current donors and cultivate new prospects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years related experience or an equivalent combination
- Experience building and maintaining long-term relationships with fundraising constituents
- Experience in asking for and closing gifts of $25,000 or more
- Experience in managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles and practices
