Job Summary
Associate Director of Controlling, Medical in Boston (Hybrid 3x in office/wk) partners with the Head of North America Medical Affairs to drive financial targets and investment decisions for core business and new product launches. Responsible for comprehensive financial analysis, monthly closings, forecasting, and long-range planning; ensures accuracy of financial reporting; prepares high-quality monthly reports and analyses for senior leaders; reviews significant statements of work to align with forecasts; supports audits and cross-functional projects; leverages AI and technology to improve operations; supports core business and launches; assists in management presentations and resource allocation decisions. Requires BS in Business/Finance/Accounting; MBA or CPA preferred; 8+ years’ international biotech/pharma experience; proficiency in Excel, Cognos, TM1, SAP; location in Boston with hybrid work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Business, Finance or Accounting
- MBA or CPA preferred
- Minimum 8 Years’ previous analysis experience in an international, multi-currency, biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
- Previous experience in Pharma with a focus in project management, Medical or R&D
- Proven track record in process improvement and establishing control frameworks
- Strong working experience of Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Cognos, TM1, SAP
Desired Qualifications
- MBA or CPA preferred
