Job Summary
Lead the Office of College Counseling by guiding students and families through all aspects of the college process across four years of high school. Design and lead signature college counseling programs, provide academic advising and four-year course planning, craft individualized college lists, write compelling letters of recommendation, coordinate standardized testing plans, co-teach a 6-week college counseling class for juniors and seniors, serve as an upper school advisor, and participate in professional development with regional/national associations. Collaborate with the College Counseling team on program development, take on special projects as assigned, and actively engage in the life of the School. Travel is required and may involve evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- At least three years of experience in selective college admissions and/or a strong background in college counseling in independent schools
- Travel is required and may involve evenings and weekends
- Strong letters of recommendation writing skills
- Technological fluency with SCOIR, Axiom, Slate, and College Kickstart
- Equity-centered mindset
