Job Summary
Associate Director, Neuromuscular, US Patient Advocacy collaborates with patient communities to understand unmet needs that inform business strategy, mobilize and empower patients to seek optimal care, and reduce access barriers. The role builds strategic collaborations with patient organizations, executes integrated advocacy strategies, translates patient insights into launches and growth initiatives, and develops AI-enabled educational resources. It requires strong written and verbal communication, cross-functional collaboration, budget and agency management, and the ability to navigate regulatory and policy landscapes. Ideal location is East Hanover, NJ, with remote work possible, domestic/international travel defined by the hiring manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 8+ years of experience in patient advocacy or related healthcare/pharmaceutical field
- 1-2 years industry patient advocacy role required
- Demonstrated ability to build trusting relationships with patient organizations and other stakeholders
- Commercial launch experience
- Experience developing and implementing integrated plans and projects
- Ability to influence across matrix teams
- Budget management and agency partner management
- Crisis and issues management
