Job Summary
Manage and grow strategic business relationships with mid-market and large corporate clients across Ontario while supporting the Director on complex accounts and priorities. Structure tailored senior debt financing and banking solutions, prepare integrated service offers, and negotiate product terms within established guidelines. Identify client needs and new business opportunities to expand Desjardins' presence in Ontario's business community, collaborating with internal partners to deliver comprehensive lending, cash management, and specialized services. Monitor portfolio performance to support growth, profitability, and sound risk management. This role offers exposure to complex financing mandates and a broad network of internal specialists within a stable financial institution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- A minimum of five years of experience in commercial banking, corporate banking, business banking or a related financial services environment, with exposure to mid-market or large corporate clients
- Experience working independently while supporting the Director on strategic accounts, complex transactions and broader portfolio priorities
- Advanced experience managing client relationships independently, identify client needs and develop practical financing solutions that support growth, acquisitions, refinancing or working capital requirements
- Advanced experience preparing credit submissions, service offers, internal recommendations or client-facing proposals that clearly present business rationale, financial considerations and key risks
- Advanced experience in business development, including the ability to identify prospects, deepen existing relationships and support growth across Ontario's business community
- Expert knowledge and understanding of senior debt financing, credit analysis, cash flow lending, financial statement analysis, risk assessment and loan structuring
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust with clients and collaborate effectively with internal partners
- Expert understanding of sound judgment, attention to detail, and balancing client objectives with profitability, credit quality, and risk management expectations
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of cash management, foreign exchange, syndicated lending or specialized financial solutions is considered
